Honest ,safe , personality filled best friend who wants to be with you all the time . Do not even enquire if you want a horse to grab every now and then (though he is good after a spell) , Roo is an intensely people oriented horse who loves hard and forms very strong attachments.. He is easy to do everything with. Been to pony club, adult riders, trail rides, the pub , trips away, competed HRCAV and Pony club dressage, jumping, and combined trainings level 3 and 4. Calm in the warm ups, tie to the float all day (with food!).
This gorgeous boy was my daughter’s horse when she was 11-13 then gave up riding. I have taken him over and he has looked after me as I began competing for the first time and has been my competition horse and go-‘to trail buddy for the past 4 years. Ride bare back, down the road, in a group or alone. Excellent in traffic and bush. Can honestly say that in the 6 years of owning Roo he has never bucked, pig rooted or done anything nasty under saddle. He has, however, ripped a rug or two, and can sometimes get excited in certain situations and just needs consistent quiet riding for a few minutes to settle him.
He is a forward horse with a thinking brain who likes a job to do and needs a competent rider who can tell him to wait (which he does ) and give him clear instructions.
Roo is very forgiving under saddle and has given lessons to beginners. He has been very consistent at comps with very little preparation . He does tend to stop at the busier jumps which is why I am selling him, as I would like to event and he is not the horse for that unfortunately.
