This beautifully proportioned gelding was bred specifically for all the Baroque disciplines, as well as Working Equitation. Warlanders are beautiful noble-looking horses with longer legs than your typical Andalusian horse. Warlanders originated in Australia and have gained popularity due to their trainability and proportions that enable easy collection. Lyra, named after a constellation, has had regular hoof trims, worming, bodywork and handling. He has been trained to tie up, stable, load, rug, wash, lunge and has been reared in a small herd on natural pasture and herbs.
Lyra is 6 months under saddle, started kindly on the farm with Kelsey our young horse trainer. We work steadily in respect with the horses nature, balance and biomechanics. This good foundation is framework for a sound horse with longevity in mind.
Lyra has had several clinics now with Master Trainer Jose Mendez, and is currently in work 4 days a week in hand and also under saddle. He has been ridden out with other horses, worked over poles , worked in hand and is showing beautiful soft work under saddle with a steady and light contact.
