Lucy has been enjoying a relaxed life out in the paddock for the past five years and is now ready to find a kind, loving home for her next chapter.
She is a well-mannered mare with a calm, easygoing temperament and no known vices. Lucy is straightforward to handle—easy to catch, float, shoe and work with on the ground—making her a lovely, low-fuss horse to have around.
Having been retired on a farm, she has been exposed to machinery, vehicles and other animals, and takes it all in her stride. Although not yet started under saddle, she is not known to be spooky, tending to have a look without overreacting, and has shown no signs of bucking, bolting or other undesirable behaviours.
Lucy has previously recovered from a suspensory injury and has had several years spelling since, allowing her time to rest and reset. With her kind nature and sensible outlook, she would suit someone looking for a quiet, well-handled horse to bring back into light work or simply enjoy as a companion.
