Through absolutely no fault of her own, this clever little lady is on the lookout for her next human sidekick. She’s smart, sensitive, trainable, and has enough personality to keep life interesting.
✨ The important stuff:
• Loads and travels like a seasoned professional on both before straight and angle float — she has been trucked and the driver wanted to give her a gold star for passenger etiquette.
• Easy to catch and rug.
• Excellent for the farrier (barefoot and done every 6 weeks like clockwork – Due 4 June).
• Great for feet, groundwork, medicating, and general “horse admin.”
• Teeth are due, last done with tetanus by Vet in the Valley in May 2025.
• Due for worming once Tasmania decides to frost properly.
• Comes with her winter rug and rain sheet.
• Has experience in trail riding, fun shows, adult riding club activities, and flat lessons.
✨ Personality-wise:
Maya is definitely a run up to you in the paddock pony, she is dominant in the paddock to other ponies and currently rules over our very submissive Welsh gelding with quiet dictatorship energy.
She can also be a little head shy at times, so she appreciates someone patient and calm who understands sensitive horses and doesn’t take things personally.
Under saddle, she’s forward, responsive, and sensitive to the seat, so she’d best suit to someone who understand those needs and enjoys a horse with a bit of sparkle rather than one who needs constant encouragement to move.

Maya has put up with my very average riding without ever offering nastiness — no dirt, no drama, no funny business. She simply deserves someone who can do her justice.
