Cheraton Country Classic (aka Barney) is a Riding pony x Welsh.
Barney is for sale due to no fault of his own; he is a sweet, kind and forgiving pony but requires the guidance of an older more confident child (12yrs +) or small adult to get the best out of him at shows and competitions.
He has successfully competed in both QLD and NSW in showjumping (up to 80cm but has scope for higher) and dressage with scores between 65%-70% with juniors.
He has competed at many ag shows, gymkhanas and interschools bringing home many broad sashes.
He is a well educated pony. He works beautifully in frame and has lovely movement. He is forward and responsive in the jumping and loves a speed round.
Barney is easy to float, wash, clip, worm and can be tied up all day. He is great for the farrier and vet. He is up to date with Hendra and 2-in-1.
Handled by children as young as 7 and is very respectful on the ground. Can be caught, rugged/unrugged, saddled up by children. He is exposed to farm life - cows, motorbikes, tractors, big machinery, dogs, cats and crazy farm kids.
He was purchased for my competant 9yr old daughter, however, she has a very hot seat and given another 2 years i have no doubt they would make the perfect partnership; but for now he deserves a more confident rider to give him the chance to shine.
This is a very difficult sale for us because we have all fallen in love with this beautiful pony. He has a one-in-a-million personality.
Price is negotiable but home is not.
He will come with all of his bridles, rugs and jump boots (he has a big wardrobe).
