Chicky is a well-bred, genuine, useful mare ready to go straight to work or take on her next performance discipline. She is an experienced, hard-working mare who knows her job, Chicky has a good balance of practical stock experience and flatwork training, making her a capable, handy partner for a confident rider.
She has proven experience in a feedlot environment—used to working stock, tight spots, machinery, noise, and busy yard conditions. On the flat, she is well-schooled, moves cleanly off pressure, and works with a soft, straightforward approach. Under saddle Chicky is soft and highly responsive off the leg and seat.
Chicky has a steady, sensible personality on the ground and is easy to get along with. She is also easy to catch, shoe, tie, float/load, rug, and wash without any fuss.
Although Chicky is quiet, polite, and respectful to handle she has the potential to get hot or forward when put in stressful situations. Due to this Chicky is NOT suitable for beginners, nervous, or novice riders. She will shine best with a confident, experienced rider with quiet hands and a balanced seat who knows how to harness and direct a responsive mare.
Chicky has previously had a foal and was a great mother, making her an attractive future breeding prospect given her versatility, athletic build, and work ethic.
