Ruben is a 4 year old Clydesdale X Thoroughbred currently 16hh should mature to 16'2"
Ruben is for sale due to a change in my personal circumstances as I had big plans for him to initially take him on long distant trail rides and then eventually do Medieval Archery but things have changed for me and I don't want him to go to waste in the paddock, he has to much potential to just go to waste in the paddock.
He is broken in and was going nicely when he was with his trainer for 12 weeks.
He is a layback fellow to ride and has 3 very cruisy paces but does need some further education as he is still young and green.
He is a clean slate and he is ready to start his new life with the right experienced confident rider.
Ruben has the potential to be trained into a number of horse disciplines such as trail riding and dressage and he would make a lovely harness/carriage horse and he would be especially do well in the Medieval Horse scene due to his stunning presence, his size, strength and beautiful black colouring.
Ruben has a kind temperament but he is young and playful and will need to go to a knowledgeable home to guide him and further his education.
He is easy to handle on the ground and to saddle and bridle he is currently handled everyday and around people all the time.
He's around other horses all the time , he's rugged and fed daily ,he's saddled and lunged regularly, he's washed down and his feet attended to.
He has his feet trimmed regularly he can be a bit fiddly but hasn't show any dirt.
He has never bitten, kicked, reared when being handled.
He has never bucked or reared under saddle.
He is up to date with his feet ,drenching, teeth, vaccinations.
He has been trucked and floated and takes it in his stride.
He currently lives on a farm and is exposed daily to all sorts of heavy machinery noises, sheep and barking dogs.
Please genuine enquires only would be appreciated, Ruben is not a beginner or novices horse due to his age and level of education.
Ruben has no blemishes.
Vet check welcome.
Fairly Priced to sell at $12,000
I have a video available for genuine enquirers which was taken when he was with the trainer.
Ruben is located in Middle Arm in the Goulburn NSW Region.
