Montville Chai Latte is a stunning mare who has been ridden by adults and teens. She’s had extensive outings over many years including Interschools, HRCAV, Pony Club, dressage, jump & Liberty lessons (she free lunges), competitions, clinics and trail rides.
Chai is well established in all paces thanks to her foundation training with a dressage professional. With my daughter, she's training Elementary and is ready to compete Novice. She placed at the 2026 Victorian EA Interschools State Championships (Senior Prelim) and won two dressage championships (PC Grade 3). She's also placed in PC Grade 2 and HRCAV Grade 4 competitions.
On the flat we've always said she has more whoah than go - she'd happily plod around if you let her - but as you can see from her video, she goes beautifully when you have her in front of your leg. She's really smart and picks up things quickly (we laugh that she'll do anything for a treat).
She was started as a jumper with her first owner. My daughter had jump lessons on her for more than a year and found that she enjoys it (jumping up to a metre). She can get hot - it's definitely not all of the time, but because of this we feel that she's not suitable for nervous or beginner jumpers.
Chai is perfect to catch, shoe, worm, clip and float. Her teeth and vaccinations are up-to-date. She keeps her condition beautifully and has the most amazing, glossy coat in summer. She's wonderful to take out to competitions and happily ties up to the float. She can be a bit 'marey' in season, but mostly she's a delight.
This is a genuine sale. We are looking for an experienced, caring home who will continue to compete on her (and love her as much as we have).
