Denny is bored with us! I’m looking at finding him a loving, experienced home where he can have a proper job and reach his full potential. If the right home doesn’t come along, he can stay with us and be bored a little longer :)
Originally purchased for my teen daughter to ride after we retired her mare, not much has come of it.
Currently in paddock condition, Denny is inquisitive, intelligent, kind and mischievous, with excellent ground skills. He’ll untie himself, then untie any horses tied beside him. He will lick you to death if he could. When he’s bored, he starts stirring up the herd and has been spotted drafting the other horses around the paddock, much to their disgust. Unfortunately we don't have cows for him to practice on :/
Denny is green under saddle with arena work but has done trail riding and mountain riding in the high country with previous owner (shod for this). Currently barefoot.
To my knowledge, he hasn’t formally competed, but he’s still young and has potential with the right person.
Previous owner said he could have a hump after saddling, but resolved with a lunge before riding. I've not seen humpiness, but he also hasn't had much work with us.
He’s a solid boy - our saddle fitter fitted him with a FQHB fender.
No known health issues, but he is slightly pigeon-toed. He arrived ear-shy, but relaxes with his ears being touched once he knows and trusts you.
Teeth and worming up to date. Farrier due in a couple of weeks. Due for a haircut.
Denny would suit an experienced horse person who enjoys a clever, intelligent horse with plenty of personality and can give him regular activity, education and a purpose. We absolutely love this guy, but feel he might be more fulfilled in a home where he has more fun and interesting things to do than we can offer.
A loving home is the priority. Otherwise he stays with us!
