This new-build truck is based on a low-mileage Scania chassis with a custom-built body built by the renowned Panton Hill Welding Services in Melbourne.
The horse area is designed with a full-width, low-slope ramp with side doors that swing open to provide extra safety when loading. The ramp is power-operated for easy loading and unloading.
The horse area is uniquely configured so that the space between dividers can be adjusted to accommodate your horses’ size. Currently, it is set up for 5 draught horses; with the addition of another divider, it could accommodate up to 7 polo ponies or trotters.
The space ahead of the horse area is ready for you to design and fit your desired living accommodation. There is a separate shower and toilet, with the bathroom frame already in place. It includes a large slide-out on the left side for a dinette and couch. There is room for a luton bed above the cab, and the vehicle’s height provides ample storage space.
The living area is accessed by a door and fold-out stairs on the left side, and there is a separate groom’s door and steps on the left side for access to the horse area.
Power is provided by a very quiet remote-start 9 kVA Perkins diesel generator, fitted into the right-hand side. The generator is on easy-to-slide mounts and can be slid out for refuelling or service.
There is a 200-litre fresh water tank for the kitchen, shower and toilet.
The chassis is a Swedish-built diesel 2012 Scania P320 6 x 2 (303,288km), with automatic transmission. There is a three-seat cab, with space to install an additional two legal child seats at the rear of the cab.
There is a 360° Camera System for horse monitoring and to assist manoeuvring.
Large storage bins are provided in the horse area, and there are external storage lockers for tack and a large locker for the installation of a horse wash-down system.
The truck is fitted with a tow bar to accommodate a trailer for your cart or carriage.
