Charlie is a genuinely fun little horse with plenty to offer his next person.
He’s taken everything in his stride — including popping over 80cm on his first proper jumping session without batting an eyelid.
This week he also had his first ride bitless and took to it like a duck to water — relaxed, responsive and completely unfazed.
Charlie is:
* No buck, rear, bolt or spook
* Great to handle on the ground
* Happy riding alone or in company
* Safe and sensible on the roads, including around passing traffic
* Rides happily bitless
* Sensible on trails
* Showing plenty of potential for pony club, games and jumping
* UTD with teeth, worming and farrier
* And lives on the smell of an oily rag
He is very responsive to his aids — a click or small shift in weight is often all he needs — so he’s not the pony for someone wanting to kick along every stride. He’d suit a balanced, confident rider looking for their second horse, or even a smaller adult wanting an uncomplicated best friend to get out and do a bit of everything with.
He’ll happily stand tied while you love on him all day and is an absolute gentleman to have around.
