I’m know I’m going to regret this, but unfortunately our circumstances & lack of time mean we realistically can’t have this many ponies in work. Due to my husband sustaining an injury I’ve now had to take on a full time job & our kids will have to only have one pony each rather than 2 each.
We bought Mimi for my daughter who needed a good first off lead pony and been a fantastic confidence builder!
Mimi is a cracker of a pony! Ridden completely by 5 & 7yr old, from first day coming back into work after a break right through to learning simple changes & into competitions. We have done pc, interschools, showing, dressage, xc, combined training & Showjumping with her. She never comes home without a broad sash. Mimi has movement to die for & an incredibly trainable brain, she’s forward without being hot. My 7yr old daughter has started teaching her leg yields, medium trot & flying changes. She’s jumped up to 1m at home & 65cm at comps with plenty of scope to go higher. She always gets amazing scores in the dressage ring. Mimi is very bold over xc & could really turn her hand to anything. In my opinion she’s a super 2nd or 3rd pony for a child wanting to do it all!
Shes got a good mouth & is easy for little hands to stop & steer. Shes also nice and easy for little legs to pop up into canter. She has never ever bucked, even after time off shes a super easy pony to bring back into work, the kids can just hop on and go. No health issues whatsoever, never foundered or had to be restricted, never been sick or lane. Good hardy feet & holds a nice weight.
Mimi is fantastic with fencing, other horses/ ponies, sheep, cows ect. She has absolutely zero separation anxiety, she doesn’t care if she’s paddocked alone or with others & you can take her mate away without any drama. She’s the same out at comps, we have done over nighters with her too & she’s a real low maintenance laid back pony.
Super easy to float. She will self load onto straight, angle or truck.
Now the quirks. Mimi is a little untrusting until she gets to know you, she a bit unsure with strangers picking up her back legs. However myself, my daughter & our farrier have no issues whatsoever because she knows & trusts us. However, she has no kick or bite, she’s good with little kids running all around her. She is also not a fan of motorbikes, but absolutely fine with traffic.
Mimi is currently out of work & in foal to registered small warmblood stallion (14.3hh) Foal will be eligible for part bred wb registration.
This isn’t an ad I ever thought I’d be writing so please no time wasters, this sale is hard enough as it is. If the right home doesn’t come along we won’t sell her. Absolutely tonnes of photos & videos. She last competed in March this year, then we tipped her out while we had a few other ponies coming through.
