due to absolute no fault of her own sahara is for sale due to me just not having the time or passion i once had for horses:( she is very much out of work but with maybe a couple of weeks of ground work and re introducing back into her routine she will be right as anything to go. there has been times she’s had months off and i’ve got back on her no issues at all. won’t be able to ride her if you come look i just really don’t have the time to bring her back into work or space for riding but more than welcome do what you need to do brush, wash, saddle up whatever just not comfortable with someone getting on as she has just had a long time more than happy to provide as many videos as i have though for reassurance.
she is an absolutely incredible little mare and will do absolute wonders with someone who knows what they are doing. she is bred for campdrafting and has done it hasn’t done it since i’ve had her (2020) we have done team penning and arena sorting and she was a weapon at it (can provide video’s) has done pony club, and 1000s of trail rides. preferably would rather her go to a home experienced in cow horses or trails more than a pony club family as she didn’t really enjoy just going around in circles or jumping she just loves to run. very much quick on her feet.
she does wind suck which is annoying but i’m sure with consistent work and stimulation i’m sure it won’t be a problem. (wind sucking collars DOES NOT WORK FOR THIS HORSE!) we’ve tried collars never again. only vice is she hates when people try get on her from the ground, she will try throw you and throw a fit just use a mounting block or a leg up easier on any horses back anyways. i don’t see with consistent work with getting on from the ground she won’t be fine i’d rather use a mounting block to get on horses anyways we did have someone do that work in the early days and she was good with it for a while but i just used mounting blocks. she only reacts due to a pain memory response nothing major happened just had rain scald when we bought her and wasnt aware so she just thinks it going to hurt but with time and work with it she’ll be fine.
