Originally purchased from Queensland as a 3-year-old from a friend of mine. He broke her in and then spelled her for around two years. I purchased her when she was approximately 5½–6 years old. She was professionally trained from 6 to 7 years of age and started her endurance career at 7. Since then, she has proven herself to be a very competitive horse.
Has come in with really good HEART RATES
She has completed four endurance rides in total, HAS NEVER VETTED OUT
She comfortably carries my weight of 113 kg including saddle and has always performed well.
She is a straightforward horse with no bad habits. She doesn’t kick, bite, itch, or display any undesirable behaviour. She eats well, maintains excellent condition, takes a thermometer without any issues, has very good heart rate recoveries, and has never been LAME.
She is very confident riding alone and I regularly ride her on footpaths alongside freeways where she is unfazed by trucks, motorbikes, cars, drains, and general traffic.
When travelling with other horses, she prefers either to lead the group or sit well behind (around 100 metres). She can be a little competitive at the start of a ride, but with an experienced rider who puts the work into settling her, she relaxes and travels well.
While she was in full work with my trainer, she was completing approximately 12 km rides twice a week.
Since my trainer retired about a year ago, she has only been ridden by me for around 7 km once a week, and sometimes only once every couple of weeks due to my lack of time.
The only reason I’m considering selling her is because I’m struggling to find the time to pursue endurance and have decided to keep just one horse. I genuinely believe she is going to waste with me and has the ability to become a top endurance competitor with someone who can give her the time she deserves.
If she doesn’t sell locally, I intend to offer her overseas around NOVEMBER .
