Full Diamond “Frank”
Frank is a 12 year-old, 16.3HH Off-The-Track Thoroughbred with the sweetest, most affectionate personality. He absolutely loves attention and forms a strong bond with his rider. He is easy to catch, shoe, float, saddle and bridle, and has no nasty habits—he doesn’t bite, buck or bolt. He’s a quiet, sensible horse who doesn’t need to be ridden every day to stay well behaved and is always willing to please.
Under saddle, Frank has three lovely paces and is a very honest jumper with plenty of potential. He is currently comfortably jumping around 60–75cm and always gives everything a go. He isn’t a hot or fast horse and never takes off with his rider, making him a confidence-inspiring ride. He has been ridden and loved by a 15-year-old girl and has proven himself to be a reliable and forgiving partner.
Frank has attended pony club, equestrian clubs, camps, gymkhanas, horse shows, clinics, inter-schools, regular school squads, and Coonabarabran Expo for the past two years. He has been exposed to cattle, dogs, tractors and other large machinery and takes everything in his stride. He settles well into busy environments and would be well suited to riders wanting to participate in school equestrian programs or interschool competitions. He is happy in either an English or fender saddle, making him a versatile all-rounder suited to many disciplines or simply pleasure riding.
Like any horse, Frank isn’t perfect. His ground manners are generally good, although he can occasionally become a little pushy or prefer to wander instead of standing still. He can also be a little anxious when arriving somewhere new, but settles quickly after around 10 minutes of walking and becoming familiar with his surroundings. Neither of these traits affect his kind, safe nature.
Frank would best suit an experienced rider who is happy to continue his education and bring out his full potential, but he would also make a wonderful horse for someone wanting a safe, quiet partner to enjoy pleasure riding, trail riding, or low-level competition.
This is a truly heartbreaking sale, and finding the right home is far more important than a quick sale.
