With a heavy heart, we are offering our much-loved Occy for sale. We have owned him since he was 3 years old, and he was professionally broken in by Paul Smith in Corryong.
Occy is an intelligent horse with plenty of personality and has been a valued member of our family. He has been ridden by experienced clients on trail rides, as well as by our staff, and is equally at home schooling in the arena. He has three beautiful paces, a rocking-horse canter, and thoroughly enjoys jumping.
He catches you in the paddock, prefers to lead out on the trail, and has a lovely soft mouth. Occy responds beautifully to voice aids, happily slowing from vocal cues and picking up canter from a simple kiss. He is comfortable around cars but isn't particularly fond of tractors.
Once Occy has picked his person, he is incredibly quiet, trustworthy and loyal. He's even happy for you to stand on his back and forms a wonderful partnership with the people he knows and trusts.
Occy is easy to tie up, float, shoe, rug and worm, and has travelled well by both truck and float. He currently lives happily in a herd environment with three other horses and isn't at the top of the pecking order.
He is being offered for sale through absolutely no fault of his own—he's simply not getting ridden often enough and deserves a home where he can continue to be enjoyed.
We are seeking an experienced home that will appreciate his intelligence, versatility and fun-loving nature. Finding the right match is far more important to us than a quick sale, and we would love to see this beautiful boy thrive with someone who will truly value all he has to offer.
