Meet our Goose — a 15hh, 14yo unregistered Australian Stock Horse who throws his heart at everything you point him at. Goose is a genuine, honest allrounder looking for his next adventure, and a rider who loves to have a go at everything. His new owner will be confident, competent and kind.
What he does:
Sporting is where he shines — he's quick and clever, and he's very handy around the barrels. He's also competed in polocrosse, team penning, Working Horse Challenge, and has had a few cracks at campdrafting.
His proudest moments came at the North West Equestrian Expo at Coonabarabran this year, where he picked up 2nd place in his division in the 80cm Combined Training . (He's had a lot of training in dressage and showjumping over the past 2 years so this was very rewarding) He was also part of the NEGS team that placed 8th in the team barrels.
He's brave and sensible out and about, too. He has done plenty of long trail rides — great in traffic, walks straight into water without a fuss, and is a lovely, reliable horse to take out and explore on.
Temperament:
This is where he really wins hearts. He is an absolute sweetheart with beautiful ground manners — easy to handle, no trouble to catch, shoe, wash and float. He's easy to be around, and a genuinely kind soul. Goose responds really strongly to the energy of his human and thrives on patience, kindness and love.
The right home:
He's looking for an experienced, competent, calm and thoughtful rider (teen or adult) who will appreciate his have a go attitude and reward it with consistency and kindness. He is not the right horse for a nervous or anxious rider. He draws his sense of confidence and fun from his rider. The right person will fall for him completely! (and your whole family will fall in love with him)

Our daughter is moving on to a bigger horse for her next adventures. Goose is is an absolute find for someone whose goals match what he loves to do.
