Meet Benson.
Benson is a 13yr old, 16 hand, QH cross.
He is smart and sensible under saddle;
-No bolt, buck, rear, pigroot
-Perfect after a spell
-Nothing really much phases him. He has been ridden around traffic, machinery, cows, etc, and is unbothered by it all.
Benson will catch you in the paddock every time and is a good doer and very low maintenance horse. He has good feet - barefoot and very comfortable that way.
He has no itch, but does require a fly mask in the warmer months.
Whilst very safe under saddle, Benson requires a confident intermediate or above handler and rider. Benson is a dominate horse and will try and put it over you and will be pushy on the ground if allowed. If not corrected this will also lead to stubbornness in the saddle.
Benson has previously been a mustering horse and I believe he would thrive being back in that environment or where he will get more consistent work.
Benson is up to date with hoof trimming, dental, and worming. He is not hendra vaccinated.
Finding the right long term home for Benson is a priority. He will not be sold to beginners, novices, or anyone needing supervision on a horse.
