Offered to an approved home, Imperia of Paradise Friesians is a beautifully leggy filly destined to mature into a remarkably tall and striking mare.
Imperia is already so bold and curious! She is enthusiastically exploring her surroundings and immediately approaches us for cuddles whenever we walk into her yard. It is an absolute joy watching her zoom around so confidently on those strong new legs. She is strong, healthy, and thriving, passing her new foal vet check and IgG testing with absolute flying colours.

The Dam: Valentina of Paradise Friesians (Inge fan Friesian Dreams Ster x Dirk T. van Sessing Ster AAA) Valentina is the beautiful first mare we bred ourselves. She is a tall, modern Friesian mare with an exceptionally quiet and kind temperament. We are so proud to see her already demonstrating all the beautiful attributes of a loving, caring mum to her new baby.
The Sire: Drys vd Terpen (Ster AAA) (Hessel 480 x Tjalbert 460) Imperia’s sire is our imported Australian Permit Stallion, Drys vd Terpen (negative for dwarfism & hydrocephalus). Drys is a high-caliber stallion possessing incredible talent, scoring a phenomenal 87.5 in his ridden ABFP test with a 9 for Trot. Praised by KFPS inspectors as demonstrating "all we are looking for in the breed," he consistently passes on his absolute willingness to work, sensational movement, and outstanding conformation. He is also proving his performance abilities in the dressage ring, with his last outing scoring a sensational 73.8% overall in Preliminary and a massive 75.7% from a visiting judge. He is equally impressive as a producer, already boasting two offspring presented as foals at the 2025 Keuring who both received 2nd Premies.
We pride ourselves on giving our foals the very best start. Every attention is given to nutritionally balanced diets from conception to adulthood, via testing of soil, pasture, hay & water. Youngsters are given incremental life lessons to prepare them for their journey with their family. The basics of leading, floating, tying up, standing for farriers and rugging. Are all important steps before a foal will leave us.
