Meet Bronx, a handsome 7-year-old Paint gelding with a stunning chestnut coat, four white socks, and a beautiful blaze. He's an eye-catching horse with an affectionate nature and absolutely loves being around people. I can put young children on his back while he is standing in the paddock and he doesn't bat an eye.
He is fully broken in and has a solid foundation, but due to limited riding time, he is still green under saddle. Because he is quite a solid horse, he can also be a bit pushy, but once he understands that he can trust you and knows that you are in charge, he is great. He would thrive with a confident, patient rider who has the time to continue his education and help him reach his full potential.
This is a very difficult decision, and finding the right home is far more important than a quick sale. He deserves someone who can give him the time, consistency, and attention that I am no longer able to provide.
About Bronx:
- Extremely friendly with a kind temperament
- Loves human company and attention
- Great around other animals and is often paddocked with sheep and chickens
- Broken in and riding, but still green under saddle
- Would suit an experienced or confident rider willing to continue his training
- He is good to tie (he will stand quietly for long periods of time)
- Good to lead once he knows you're in charge
- Can wash him fine
- Good with doing his front hooves, I have been working on his back hooves and they have gotten better but they could still do with some more work
- He's good to catch
- He is in paddock condition but I have always kept him rugged
He has been out of work for a few months but I have intermittently pulled him out of the paddock to take him for a ride which hasn't been an issue, however, he is green and needs someone who can give him consistent work to sharpen his responsiveness and buttons.
He does have some scarring on his hind legs and his offside front leg from a paddock injury previous to me owning him, however they have never seemed to cause him any issues.
I am also happy to include his winter rug with the sale if the new owner would like it. One of the neck straps is broken but it is a very good quality rug and I still use it just the same.
If you're looking for a genuine young horse with a wonderful personality and plenty of potential, he could be the perfect partner.
