New-Moon Dione is a gorgeous Shagya-Araber filly who loves people. Confident, athletic, sensible, sweet and very trainable, she is willing to please and learns quickly.
The Shagya-Araber is a sport-horse (light cavalry) breed developed in Hungary in the 17-1800's, originally based on the breeding of desert-bred Arabian stallions over local warmblood mares. The breed now has a closed studbook requiring licensing and performance-testing of breeding stock.
NM Dione's sire is New-Moon Odin, an ACE Group Inc licensed stallion exported to Malaysia.
NM Dione's dam was Summerzar M'Zigye, a purebred Arabian qualified endurance mare (who completed the 160km Tom Quilty in 2010 and then won 1st Middleweight in an 80km ride). M'Zigye was licensed for both Shagya-Araber and Trakehner breeding.
NM Dione has had basic handling and float training (see video). Regularly wormed and feet trimmed.
